     Galatas has a greatly advantageous position as it is close to the city center and the Venetian Harbor as well, and also near to the area’s most popular sandy beaches.  The closest sandy beach (Kalamaki) is in a walking distance of 1 km from the villa. A number of convenient shops and services (mini-market, pharmacy, tavernas, bus station) are available in the neighborhood at a walking distance of less than 5 min. The location is also ideal if you want to explore the island, as it is within a few minutes drive from the national road which leads you to the famous beaches of Elafonisi, Balos, and Falassarna as well as the Samaria Gorge.
